Managing Director, Dallas County Promise
The Commit Partnership (the “Partnership”), under its Dallas County Promise initiative, seeks a passionate, strategic leader of the region’s foremost collaborative effort focused on substantially improving economic mobility for the North Texas region. This key position, reporting directly to the President of Commit and serving as a fellow Managing Director on the Partnership’s executive team, will help drive organizational efforts focused on substantially increasing the numbers of underrepresented students that are ready for, enrolling in, persisting through, and completing postsecondary credentials aligned to the current workforce needs of one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States. Given the Promise’s role in also helping launch similar efforts in other major metropolitan areas throughout Texas (a state that educates 10% of the U.S.), this unique individual will be a regional, state, and national leader on the front lines of improving economic mobility. The Managing Director of the Dallas County Promise: The managing director will lead a talented ~15 member team while developing and guiding key senior stakeholder relationships across the North Texas talent pipeline. The team’s focus is college and career readiness, persistence, completion, and workforce alignment for pathways developed in both high school, community college or community-based post-secondary training programs, and universities aligned to high demand job opportunities (with a particular focus on the middle-skill job gap). The role will continuously identify and seek to help close opportunity gaps within the region’s robust talent pipeline while developing evidence-based solutions, shining the light on best practices, and looking to develop scalable strategies that more intentionally equitably link students to the workforce and living wage attainment.
CONTRACT: College Readiness & Success CCMR Manager, Dallas County Promise
The Dallas County Promise seeks a passionate, hard-working individual for a temporary position as Manager supporting the College Readiness and Success CCMR team within the Dallas County Promise. The mission of Dallas County Promise is to increase the numbers of low-income students and students of color that are ready for, enrolling in, persisting through, and completing college. The College Readiness & Success CCMR Manager will oversee regional and statewide planning and onboarding of the CCMR Insights data tool in partnership with Region 10 while supporting Promise district and campus partners through the Promise Network for School Improvement (NSI) efforts. Primary responsibilities include scheduling ongoing planning meetings with the Dell Foundation, Region 10, districts, and Promise leadership; creating and scheduling district onboarding plans; creating training materials and resources; and supporting assigned districts and campuses in ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
CONTRACT, Part Time: College Readiness & Success NSI, Dallas County Promise
The Dallas County Promise seeks passionate, hard-working individuals for three part-time contractor positions supporting the College Readiness and Success NSI team within the Dallas County Promise to help drive the organization’s initiatives. The mission of Dallas County Promise is to increase the numbers of low-income students and students of color that are ready for, enrolling in, persisting through, and completing college. The College Readiness & Success Network for School Improvement (NSI) part-time positions will support the overall Dallas County Promise program with specific focus on creating training and supports at assigned partner districts and campuses for continuous improvement in the areas of CCMR/postsecondary planning. The primary goal: to ensure Promise partners are continuously working on strategies to increase the number of students from Dallas County, especially students of color and low-income students, enrolling in and completing college on a path to achieving their dreams.
